Prologue
Someone once said every city is the same. Chicago is no exception; it's dark, grimy, and in winter, it becomes extremely cold. The winters here are unforgiving, and the previous winter showed me the full force of its fury. While people often wish for snow on Christmas Eve, my wish that year was to propose to my girlfriend of four years, Claire. I know it may sound cliché, but I had every reason to do so.
